The school currently boasts of 85 academic members of staff with over 40 possess doctorate degrees and others with Master degrees.  The school is effectively servicing all departments in the College and runs a degree in Guidance and Counselling. The school has experienced, competent, highly professional and committed staff, academic and non-academic who run and provide professional services to the students. The College Teaching Practice Committee (TPC) is housed in the School being the hub of education courses in the College and the College-based training machinery, TPC has the Dean, School of Education as Chairman; all Heads of Department in the School; and representatives of other Schools as members. The School also housed Teaching Practice Unit which is being coordinated by the Head, Department of Curriculum and Instruction with two representatives from departments in the School as members.  Annually, TPC makes concrete arrangement with primary and secondary schools in Ekiti, Ondo and Osun States for teaching practice exercise; mobilizes qualified Supervisors for the exercise and submits a comprehensive report on the teaching practice to the Academic Board.  Teaching practice is, therefore, an indispensable exercise that exposes the NCE and Degree students to practical teaching and professional ethics in real classroom situations.

The School also has a functional Centre for Education Technology (CET) which anchors micro-teaching activities of the student teachers.  Our Counselling Laboratory is equipped with necessary facilities and qualified guidance counsellors, who readily assist the students on varying academic, personal and career matters.

Furthermore, the School has a number of academic publications, including the Journal of Educational Innovation and Practice, and Journal of Educational Administration and Planning; and referenced books authored by erudite scholars.  The annual national conference of the School brings to the College many researchers, lecturers, teachers and representatives of professional organisations.  Hence, the School focuses on effective teaching, productive research works, and vibrant community services for sustainable human capital development in all aspects of nation building
