Management Appoints Omotayo and Izuagie as Acting Director, Deputy Director.
The management of Adeyemi Federal University of Education, (AFUED), Ondo has approved the appointments of Dr. Kolawole Charles Omotayo as the Acting Director, Directorate of Advancement/Alumni and Mrs. Folashade Olujoke Izuagie as the Deputy Director, Directorate of Skills Development and Entrepreneurship.
The appointments takes effect from Tuesday 27th January, 2026.
Omotayo was born on 3rd March, 1986. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education (BA.Ed) in History from Adeyemi College of Education, now Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo in the year 2009. He has a Master’s Degree in History and Ph.D in History and International Studies.
His work experience started at Ascending Cambridge A’Level College, a Cambridge International Advanced Subsidiary and Advanced level school in 2015. He later joined the service of Adeyemi College of Education, now Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo on 27th February, 2019 as lecturer III and rose through the ranks to the position of lecturer I.
Omotayo belongs to different professional bodies such as; The French Institute for Research in Africa (FIRA), University of Ibadan; Fellow: Centre for Black Culture and International Understanding, Osogbo; Member: Historical Society of Nigeria; Member: Lagos Studies Association’ ORCID; Research Gate; Google Scholar.
He is a highly dedicated and knowledgeable lecturer where passion for History is evident in his teaching. His lectures are always engaging, well-structured and insightful, making complex historical concepts easy to understand. He relates excellently with students, encourages critical thinking and consistently inspires a deeper appreciation for the discipline.
Dr. Kolawole Omotayo has attended several local and international conferences in History and other related courses.
Izuagie was born on 23rd January, 1973. She holds a B.Ed in Home Economics from Adeyemi College of Education, now Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo in the year 2000, and a Master’s degree in Child Development and Care from University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Her work experience started as a teacher during her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at All Saints Grammar School, Oka, Ondo. She later joined the service of Adeyemi College of Education, now Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo on 22nd November, 2005 as Assistant Lecturer and rose through the ranks to the position of Lecturer I.
Izuagie belongs to different professional bodies such as; Member: Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN); Member: Home Economic Teachers’ Association of Nigeria (HETAN); Member: Home Economic Research Association of Nigeria (HERAN).
She is a highly dedicated and Methodical academic with a strong sense of organization in her work. She relates excellently with colleagues and students, demonstrating admirable interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit. As a lecturer, she is passionate about continuous learning and professional development, with a clear commitment to excellence in the field of Home Economics.
Mrs. Folashade Izuagie has attended several conferences and workshops in Home Economics and other related courses. Her hobbies include Reading, Teaching and Cooking.
