The President of the Adeyemi Federal University of Education (AFUED) Ondo Staff No1 Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited (ASCMSL), Ondo, Dr. Dolapo Zaccheus Olupayimo, has attributed success recorded by the society during the financial year ended December 31, 2025 to God.



Olupayimo made the statement while delivering a Management report during the 39th Annual General Meeting of the cooperative society, which held on Friday March 13, 2026 at the Olusegun Obasanjo Auditorium, Adeyemi Federal University of Education (AFUED) Ondo.



Expressing gratitude to God for progress recorded by the association during the financial year ended 31st December, 2025, the ASCMS President said: "Today our story has changed completely and that was why I sang a song before presenting any report. The level that God has taken us to today is beyond any human comprehension" he remarked.



Speaking on the performances of loan collectors in the society, Olupayimo expressed happiness saying "we no longer have the problem of loan deductions, while that of loan defaulters have reduced drastically. This was made possible by the policy of defrayment from members assets and savings that we brought back and the old deduction order from source through JIFMIS that government introduced".



The ASCMS president also gave details of record of achievements recorded by the society from its various investments which included the supermarket, cyber cafe, bee-keeping ventures, car wash as well as bulk-purchase initiative, Nourish/Richbite Bakery and Microfinance Bank.



Olupayimo further enumerated on the society's capital and ordinary shares, pension scheme, Christmas savings as well as loan administration and the dividend appropriated for the year ended December 31, 2025.



He expressed appreciation to members of the cooperative society for having confidence in his leadership, and composition of the society's Management committee and for providing necessary support, stating that the development brought inspiration that encouraged the committee members to put in their best.



In his remarks on the occasion, the Ondo State Director of Cooperative Services (OSDCS), Mr. Williams Braiye Felix, represented by Mr. Ayodele Bamidele, applauded the Management Committee of ASCMSL for what he described as "their dedication to fostering economic empowerment among members even in this challenging economic time".



Additionally, the OSDCS commended the cooperative society for providing "essential financial services and investment opportunities to its members assuring that the Ondo State Department of Cooperative Services, would continue to monitor all cooperative societies in the state in order to ensure compliance with" transparency and accountability".



Braiye advised the AFUED Staff No1 CMS Management Committee to continue to adhere with Cooperative bye-laws and all circulars that emanate from the ministry, as well as ensuring submission of regular returns and maintenance of accurate audited financial records.



The OSDCS enjoined members of the Cooperative Society to increase their thrifts and investment in the society, saying "the strength of a cooperative society lies in the collective savings of its members, I encourage you to engage with society's Management committee to identify new sustainable and productive ventures for the coming year" he stated.



The event which held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Auditorium in the University featured presentation and adoption of the year 2025 financial reports, address by the Chairman Bakery Board/Nourish and Supplies Limited, Mr. Akin Akingunsoye as well as delivery of goodwill messages by some invited personalities.



Important dignitaries who attended the event included officials from the Ondo State Ministry of Industries and Cooperative Services, senior officials of some commercial banks and members of the AFUED Staff No1 CMS Limited among others.
