Adeyemi Varsity cooperative society holds 39th Annual General Meeting, lists achievements.
One of the notable cooperative societies operating in Adeyemi Federal University of Education (AFUED) Ondo, the ACE Staff Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited (ASCMPSL) Ondo, has held its 39th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in the institution.
The event which held on Monday March 23, 2026 featured the presentations and adoptions of the financial statement of the society for the year ended December 31, 2025.
Presenting the Management report, the President of ASCMPSL, Dr. (Mrs.) Oluranti Adeyemi Olajuyigbe, described the occasion as significant milestones " in the society's journey, considering the fact that this is the second AGM to be held after the selection and swearing -in of the current management team on 12th April, 2024".
Commending members of the Cooperative Society for their resilience "in the face of global challenges", Olajuyigbe described the past year as "mixture of challenges and advances", however, lauded all stakeholders for keeping the society afloat, pledging that the Committee under her leadership would continue to prioritise members well-being and prosperity.
The ASCMSL President also spoke on matters relating to membership growth as well as the society's financial progression and dividends paid to members of the society.
In addition, she also made remarks on other activities of the association in areas which included sales of food items, electrical appliances and household items.
Speaking on future plans by the society, the ASCMSL President urged incoming Management team that would succeed her to pay greater attention to five areas which includes membership drives, expansion of the society water factory, blocks making ventures as well as diversification to other productive businesses and ensuring full computerisation of the society's records.
Olajuyigbe expressed gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Bayode Isaiah Popoola and other members of the University's Management team" for giving the society full support in carrying out its activities".
In addition, she also thanked the Ondo State Director of Cooperative Services (OSDCS), Mr. Braiye Felix and other officials from the Ministry of Industries and Cooperative Services as well as senior officials of some commercial banks who attended the AGM. She expressed optimism of better days for the society and assured that the association would continue to thrive and " make positive impact" on the lives of its members.
The event which held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Auditorium in the University was attended by eminent personalities from all walks of life.
